Lifeboxes

Engaging the viewer in a visceral understanding of how barriers and placement in public space engender separation, these pieces are installed to pay homage by inviting rather than marginalizing the viewer.  As reservoirs of human content, the personal is made manifest in the architecture of the cut out. How we build and develop frameworks for living dictate strategies of politics through spatiality. As places of theater, associations of life, death, isolation, and confinement identify cultural codes which create barriers.
